Inspired by waves

With no clear visual style tied to beachballs, crafting a lettering style for a beachball-themed project was a real challenge. I explored hundreds of fonts and styles, eventually finding inspiration in the beach environment—specifically the fluidity and movement of waves. The continuous motion in the wordmarks mirrors the flow of waves. Collaborating with Ronald Hamilton, we struck a balance between modern and classic elements, incorporating ligatures that nod to traditional script styles while enhancing rhythm and aesthetics. The result? A dynamic, wave-inspired design that captures the essence of the seaside.
